Terry Crampton

 

Terry Crampton, Chief, DISCO International Team, will present International Visits - Classified.

Terry Crampton is currently the Branch Chief of the DISCO International Team. In this capacity, he is responsible for the oversight of security clearance issues pertaining to the Department of Defense Industrial Security Program, including the International community. This includes:

  • Primary function is to adjudicate personnel security investigations for DoD industrial personnel who require eligibility and access to classified information.
  • The processing of international visit requests for U.S. cleared contractors visiting authorized foreign site(s)
  • Monitoring overseas assignment for U.S. cleared contractors exceeding 90 days
  • Issuing NATO Personnel and Facility security clearance certificates
  • Facility international clearance verification
  • The processing of security clearance assurances for foreign and domestic request for investigations
  • Processing Limited Authorization Access (LAA) for U.S. cleared contractors
  • Customer Service issues

He has served in this position since March of 2001. Mr. Crampton previously worked in industry as a certified Facility Security Officer for a major cleared research facility. He, also, served as a Contractor Security Officer for various elements of the National Intelligence Community.

Mr. Crampton served in the United States Navy, Submarine Force, for 23 years and retired in 1989. His military service included special assignments with Submarine Special Projects, Bureau of Naval Personnel, and the Chief of Naval Operations (OP02).
